Up until now, I have been involved in the development of optical equipment, especially for ophthalmology, at Topcon Corporation.It is the development of a device that irradiates the fundus with light, receives it with a sensor, processes it with a microcomputer, takes an image of the fundus, performs pattern measurement, and obtains an optical coherence tomographic image.
Improvements in the performance of microcomputers and sensors have greatly improved the quality of obtained images, measured values, and tomographic images.
And now, advances in AI are about to bring about further device evolution under DX, which converts images and measurement values into digital information.
I started a business with the idea of using AI to further evolve the devices that Japan is good at (sensing and measurement devices in technology).
